Low Strung – Fix You | YALE University – Community Campus FANBlog

Ok.  This has, as far as I can tell, nothing to do with the Yale Class of 1987.  However, I though it was just cool.  Check it out.

Low Strung – Fix You

Low Strung plays an arrangement of “Fix You” by Coldplay, at their spring 2011 Yale campus concert. (Arrangement: Copyright David Rector) View more information at lowstrungcellos.org Low Strung is a group of undergraduate and graduate cellists who have come together over the past six years to break out of normal cello repertoire and venture into the realm of pop and classic rock. Their concerts are filled with thundering arrangements of pieces by the Rolling Stones, Led Zepplin, Metallica, Coldplay, the Who, the Beatles, U2, AC and many, many more artists from the 1950′s to today. An official undergraduate organization at Yale University, Low Strung performs two on-campus concerts annually and goes on tour in March and June. As one of the most unique musical ensembles in the Connecticut area, Low Strung has also become a favorite at weddings, local schools, and other events in the New England and New York areas.
